"90% of students perform better with mentoring from Leriko & Associates."

In 2009 around 90% of students mentored by Leriko & Associates went on to exceed their schools' expectations and achieve GCSEs passes in the top grades A*to C. The mentoring for attainment programme (M.A.P.) is an experiential programme designed to motivate disengaged and talented students who are at risk of underachieving.

In 2009 cohorts of disengaged year 11 students from St Gregory's Catholic College and the Convent of Jesus & Mary Language College were mentored by Leriko & Associates in the first ten weeks of the academic year. M.A.P. helped them to overcome their disengagement, regain their motivation and commitment to the forthcoming GCSEs; and provided them with viable techniques for applying their abilities to the forthcoming examinations in the summer term.

One distinct outcome of M.A.P. was that 88% of student cohort from St Gregory's Catholic College exceeded their GCSE targets, predicted by the school, and only 12% performed no better than expected. For the student cohort from Convent of Jesus & Mary Language College the corresponding figures were 71% and 29% respectively. In both instances, it was recognised by the schools that, without mentoring a majority of these students were expected to underachieve.

Leriko & Associates mentor cohorts of students from years 9, 10 & 11 (i.e. Key Stages 3 & 4); and have done so for more than seven years. If you wish to discover more about the mentoring for attainment programme (M.A.P.) just contact Leriko & Associates to arrange a conversation with the director.
